Representation

PLEASE DO NOT CALL REGARDING REPRESENTATION

Our books are currently open.

If you are a young actor aged 5-21, or the parent/carer of a young actor interested in representation, then please do email us at hello@theyoungactorsagency.com detailing training, performance experience, aspirations, age and where you are based.

Please do not call us regarding interest in representation.

We also ask that you include a self-tape audition.

Please film a short monologue on a smart phone or tablet in landscape and against a plain background with you in the centre of the frame – head and shoulders. Please consider your lighting and perform for screen and not theatre (very naturalistic and with a low vocal volume.)

Please then email to us – hello@theyoungactorsagency.com

If the file is too large, please use WeTransfer.

All self tape auditions are considered carefully – however we are looking for certain qualities and cannot represent everyone who applies and it isn’t always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants.

Please carefully consider if you can support the commitment of professional representation both timewise and financially.

Auditions often arise with very little notice and are usually in London. We do our very best to arrange auditions outside of school/college hours but this often involves jumping on a train straight after or at the weekends. If your job or family commitments make this very difficult then perhaps representation isn’t for you. As an example, please ask yourself if an audition in London tomorrow at 5.30pm would present as an opportunity or inconvenience? We cannot represent anyone who isn’t willing to prioritise auditions as it is obviously the people who can get to the castings who will ultimately get the jobs. That said, we completely understand that you are not always available and simply ask that you communicate all unavailability to us. Please also consider as a parent, what getting a job would mean to your Young Actor as well as your family. Can you support getting a child to a show in London several times a week, or take time out to chaperone on a television, film or commercial shoot?

There is no charge to join the agency but every Young Actor requires professional headshots and to be a member of Spotlight.
